  • court & safety rules
COURT RULES Players are responsible for providing their own pickleballs when they play Be sure to write your name on your ball and take it with you when you leave the court Bags, chairs, and other equipment must be left outside of the court. You can hang your bags using hooks attached to the fence >> Labeling your gear is always a good idea! Any player 18 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Players must wear court shoes with white or light color soles. Dark soles or running shoes are not allowed. It is strictly forbidden to play on a wet court. If it starts raining, stop playing IMMEDIATELY and leave court. It becomes very slippery and can be dangerous even with few drops of water on it If you want to return to your court after a rain break, be sure to ask court staff who is drying courts, that it is safe to do so. Always double check for wet spots. SAFETY RULES ALWAYS stretch and warm up your body before play. Proper warmup session loosens up your muscles and helps avoiding injuries Also consider stretch/cool down session at the end of play. Our Pickleball Fitness Series can help you learn how to properly warmup and/or stretch both before and after play. Be aware of your playing area and its obstacles like light poles and fence. Avoid backpedaling while playing on a Pickleball court. It is highly recommended to wear eye protection while playing to protect high speed pickleballs from hitting your eye area or eye socket Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate Drink before you are thirsty Otherwise, it's too late. Playing Pickleball will most likely cause you to sweat, so it is important refill your body with electrolytes. Wear sunscreen and hat when playing Know your exercise limit and be sure to tell your co-players what they are. If you have any history of heart condition, back/knee pain, tennis elbow, breathing problems etc. make sure that you have all the necessary equipment and medication with you Communicate with your partner to avoid confusion and accidents. If you are near to your partner and have slam overhead opportunity where you can hit them, stop play. let the ball drop Lose the point. But don't hit them, always be aware of where they are. Improve your balance and learn how to fall injury free, check our Pickleball Fitness Series when we dedicate a lot of time on improving balance to help you stay upright and avoid falls and tumbles when chasing the pickleball around the court.
